Reminder, artists have a valid reason to be upset about Gen AI. While this has been extensively explained, it has also been regularly ignored. It's difficult to have good faith conversation with Epic's AI future in games, when they betrayed artists trust by selling out our data.
Same, games should be works of art not works of slop prompted by lazy slobs that don't even care enough or are incabable of making it themselves!

Some devs use a combo of hand crafted art, code & #AI slop.
Putting slop in your work is like sprinkling 💩 on your food, some of it might be good but its still disgusting & destroys your credibility, ppl will assume its all slop.

AI slop so far was made for scammers, lazy slobs and children that like to play pretend.
But what do u want to be when u grow up child? Anything more then a prompter that cant tell a work of art from a lazy slop? GenAI slop only looks good to noob tourists.

All the clients i worked with need a professional like me bc slop files are terrible. I throw em in the trash thats how bad they are. In order to create a high quality file I make it modular to easily change it per the clients needs & their requirements.

AI copyright lawsuits are coming thick and fast. In just the last couple of weeks:
- USA Today & 18 other papers sued OpenAI
- around 300 authors sued Meta
- a pair of musicians sued Black Forest Labs
The Black Forest Labs one is particularly interesting - I wouldn't be surprised if much bigger music rights holders follow suit.
The pace of arrival of these lawsuits is speeding up, not slowing down.
1/5. How to legislate GenAI slop.
1. Delete all training data obtained illegally by theft (opt in by default!). Every platform, marketplace is guilty of this, I had my 3d models used without permission to train #AI slop.

7. Make Big Tech companies be transparent with their alghoritms so governments can dictate if their products operate legally & morally.
