Panel 3: European Union and Geoeconomic Cooperation, Energy Security and Connectivity across Eurasia
The third panel focused on geoeconomic cooperation, energy security, and connectivity across Eurasia, exploring opportunities to strengthen economic ties and enhance regional cooperation.
Moderated by Vasif Huseynov, Head of Department at the AIR Center, the panel brought together experts from Azerbaijan, Italy, Spain, Latvia, the Netherlands, and Sweden to exchange perspectives on key developments and prospects for cooperation between Azerbaijan and the European Union.

IDD is implementing the “Visiting Researcher Program 2026” from September to December 2026.
As part of the program, two experts from Saudi Arabia and Uruguay, Ahmed Tabaji and Diego Enrique Telias have already started their research in Baku.
In total 11 experts are expected to conduct three week academic research on various topics related to Azerbaijan and the wider region.
IDD and S. Utebayev Atyrau Oil and Gas University have launched implementation of their first common partnership project in joint implementation of practice oriented module on leadership, digital transformation and sustainable development in energy sector
