Today is the day! The @Nature #COVIDconsensus paper is now live at go.nature.com/3NtcfCM. All of our recommendations are 100% within human control and we need your help to spread the message to end #COVID19 as a #publichealth threat! #CovidTwitter

In cold climates (preparing for a MN winter), if you mask outdoors and the come indoors, should you change your mask? There can sometimes be a lot of condensation and my understanding is N95-type materials don’t work if wet…?

My first recommendation would be to incorporate an N95 mask into your costume and always stay in character...

The Moderna bivalent authorized by FDA sounds like it is also BA.4/BA.5. See: eua.modernatx.com/covid19vac…

Thank you!!! I just was just reading this study and made the same all caps comment in my notes: NOT LONG COVID! Extended acute symptoms is a perfect term for what they DID look at.

People often assume that capitalism is defined by "markets and trade". But markets and trade existed for thousands of years before capitalism. Capitalism is only 500 years old. So what is distinctive about this economic system? Three things (well, more, but three for now):

One concern about wastewater is comparability of levels across variants. If some variants have higher viral load per person, then comparing today’s levels to historic levels (say when delta was dominant) may give a false sense of security.

Simpls does their own delivery. You can order quarts of soups, various rolls/breads, and personal-sized pizzas.

My OpEd today Yes, everyone needs to wear high-quality #masks in #schools, but that’s not the only urgent action necessary to keep kids safe -- we desperately need to focus on air quality by adding #HEPA filters & by addressing the risks at lunch time,🧵👇 denverpost.com/2021/08/19/sc…
Opinion: As an aerosol scientist, I know schools need masks, HEPA filters and outdoor lunches

While mask-wearing indoors is the cheapest and among the best strategies against airborne virus spread, it is not the only strategy that school districts need to improve.
