Climate science has shed light on many questions, society has made progress on adopting the findings, and now it’s time for the next steps: not “climate change” but “everything change”.

We do not call for any form of deployment, and solar radiation modification is no substitute for substantive emissions cuts and carbon dioxide removal. 3/4
Yet, balanced deliberation and transparent, interdisciplinary research and assessment of solar radiation modification needs to start now, to ensure future decisions are informed and just.

For every person that dies from heat exposure, about nine die from cold exposure. As global warming continues, will warmer temperatures actually save lives? It depends on where you live.

“Highest profits ever since people started using petroleum”
Of course we debate whether these profits should have been made to begin with, but now that they have, why not focus on putting them to good use so that future profits will be from renewables?

Can we diagnose the forced response directly from patterns of global-scale mean or extreme precipitation? And if so, has it emerged from the noise of internal variability?

Remarkably, when the observed global mean trend is removed, changes in *only* the spatial pattern of precipitation and precipitation extremes exhibit detectable signals of climate forcing.
