ALT Integrated Master of Public Health (BSc-MPH) students visiting Anganwadi Centre, Palaj to understand Maternal and Child Health at the Community Level At the Anganwadi Centre in Palaj, students explored how maternal and child health services are delivered at the community level. The visit offered insights into antenatal care, immunisation, nutritional support, growth monitoring, and the role of ASHA and Anganwadi workers in reaching families. Students also learned about initiatives such as Mamta Divas, the use of digital platforms for maintaining health records, and government schemes supporting maternal and child health. ALT Strengthening School Health & Wellness in Gujarat! The State-Level Training of Trainers (ToT) for the Ayushman Bharat – School Health & Wellness Programme (AB-SHWP) was conducted on 24–25 September 2026 at SIHFW, Vadodara, Gujarat. The training brought together experts and key stakeholders to strengthen the implementation of the programme in schools and was facilitated by experts from IIPH Gandhinagar and SHSRC Gujarat. As part of its contribution to the programme, the Indian Institute of Public Health Gandhinagar (IIPHG) has developed digital learning content on key areas, including Adolescent Health, Wellbeing, Nutrition, and other thematic components of SHWP. These resources aim to support effective training, enhance the capacity of stakeholders, and facilitate the delivery of engaging, age-appropriate health and wellness education in schools. The representatives from the Wellcome Trust, the funder of the REFLECT project, visited the India implementation site in Vanzara Vas, Narol, Ahmedabad on 12th October 2026. India is one of the four implementation sites of this international research project. 🏡 The visit included a walkthrough of the intervention area and interactions with the implementation partner, community leaders, and study participants to understand field-level progress and community experiences. 🏛️ The delegates also visited the Indian Institute of Public Health Gandhinagar (IIPHG), engaging with faculty and the project team on research findings, implementation challenges, and future collaboration. ✨ The visit provided a valuable opportunity to exchange learnings and strengthen partnerships towards evidence-based solutions for cooler homes, healthier communities, and a climate-resilient future!
