Coach Spo doesn't care if other teams scout against their fast pace offense because he will add sets when things slow down: "We need to push tempo, push face -- teams will scout against it so what, that's who we are but when the game gets to those neutral times...sometimes it might be pick and rolls or post ups..."
Coach Spo says Giannis played a SMART game tonight vs Hawks: "I thought he played a smart game -- allowing other guys to have a impact, he inserted himself when he needed to, he was a monster on the glass on both ends..."

I think having them high low and screening. Plus them committing to boards and rim pressure is a way for them to be top 5 this season.
THIS IS THE WAY 1) More PnR 2) Giannis screening more 3) Giannis in the dunkers spot 4) Bam getting to his spots 5) Dominated in the paint and on the boards

Bam Adebayo on how adding P&Rs to the offense got him going: “We ain’t ran a P&R in a long time. My first 2/3 shots not being 3s I was able to get in a rhythm by getting to the FT line, being aggressive and getting to my spots. The ball went in today. Also credits Davion and Pelle Larsson for making the game easy for him

Coach Spo on the Heat using more P&Rs: "We want to be more intentional of when we weren't in the flow... We need both parts of it. We need to push tempo, push pace. Teams will scout against it, so what. But when the game gets to those neutral times, we have to be more intentional where the ball is going. Sometimes that may be the P&R"

I like the staggered mins between Bam and Giannis. Does it work long term maybe. They will need to commit to imposing their will at the rim constantly and rebounding wise. I also appreciate the ancillary ball handling, it is to be seen if they can do elite talent.

I just know players have a sigh of relief when they see Nekias coming because it’s always just in depth hoops analysis.
Got to (finally) talk to Angel Reese! Asked her about the speed of her attacks, how she’s reading (the timing of) Golden State’s help, and what goes into her flashes to the elbow

Asked Erik Spoelstra, when it comes to establishing principles, if he’s become more patient (vs making more immediate adjustments) over his career. Got a quick “no” lol but then he kept going:

CB is absolutely right and he might be my favorite person to ever wear that jersey… but people in the comments are forgetting that fans used to say some of the same things about him that they are saying now about Bam. No one has been “scapegoated” here more than Bosh was. Time heals, I suppose.
Chris Bosh on the Miami Heat 0-4 start: - Need to use Giannis as screener more, he seems stagnant - Defense needs to pick up - Bam has to be more aggressive Wise words from the franchise legend @chrisbosh 🔥

Tell them stay over there go root for MKE and quit watching the Heat. Don’t watch and whine, watch another team. No one will miss them.
The comments under Tyler Herro’s recent IG post. Bam you’re allowing this to happen…

He’s back to yapping again.
Tim MacMahon calls Bam Adebayo sensitive and says there was never any great expectations for the Heat: “Bam’s sensitive — talking about the outside noise and having great expectations, I don’t think there was great expectations for the Heat going into this season. They had to gut the roster to get Giannis…you can’t look at this roster and say that’s a ready made contender…it’s going to take atleast through next summer for them to put the pieces in place…Bam being a jumpshooter with no rhythm instead of this big physical force — that’s gotta change…”

Aight this is ridiculous, too many injuries and it’s not the players fault. They are trying to put their best efforts forward but pace is up
Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton has sustained a left hamstring strain and will miss time, sources tell ESPN. Pacers doctors and Haliburton are now gathering a clear timeline.
