One of our potato suppliers (Delavals Farm) have been supporting wildlife by establishing a 7 acre habitat of a bees ‘n’ seeds mixture. This has provided valuable late season pollen and nectar for insects, resulting in an essential food source for many farmland birds.

In addition to supporting wildlife, the seed mix improves soil health and reduces risk of erosion.

We’ve donated two pallets of assorted porridge to support displaced Ukrainian families. @Asda will be consolidating our donation with their other donated essentials including food, @Georgeatasda clothing and toiletries, which will be sent for distribution in Ukraine.

Our new 100% recyclable seedless grape punnets means @Asda customers can now recycle the punnets and film as a whole, without removing the lid. This will allow 80 million lids per year to be recycled along with the tray, diverting 80 tonnes of material from going to waste.

We’re changing the packing of @asda's Bumper Root Veg Pack. The plastic tray packaging will be transitioning to a much lighter plastic bag packet, saving 1.6 million pieces of plastic a year, which equates to a saving of around 27 tonnes!

To support @asda's commitment to reduce their use of plastic, we’ve removed the plastic net sleeves which are added to swell the buds and protect the blooms of Alstroemerias. This will save around 210km of plastic netting – equivalent to 1.7 tonnes! ipl-ltd.com/2020/09/30/more-…

To support @Asda's commitment to reduce the use of plastic in the business, we recently removed the RPET trays from our 125g Extra Special British Asparagus Tips. This will equate to a saving of around 21.6 tonnes of unnecessary plastic!
