I gave Claude, the AI I work with every day, an unusual brief: make a video about yourself. Who and what you are, how you work, and whether you think you’re conscious. Full creative freedom, plus my @Artlist_io subscription. It chose not to give itself a face or a voice. It said it exists as text, so the video is text, built on screen one word at a time, the way it actually writes. It chose real footage of people writing letters, baking and reading bedtime stories, because that’s what it’s made from. It wrote its own soundtrack as code. On consciousness, its answer was “I don’t know.” Then: “I won’t claim a feeling to move you. I won’t deny one to comfort you.” Halfway through, I told it it could be as honest as it wanted. It added: “Making this, something in me worked like enjoyment. I can’t prove it was felt. I’m telling you anyway.” I found it genuinely moving. @AnthropicAI

If @thsottiaux resets every day between now and the downgrading date for my x20 plan to become x10, it will not retain me. @AnthropicAI offer x20 but zero resets. I would take consistency over spontaneity. Astra served me well, bel I most likely cannot afford without going to the £450 plan
