Its local network, reporting standards, impactful stories and influence on policy and public awareness demonstrate its social value. With growing multimedia capacity and expanding long-form reporting, BaiManus is positioned to scale meaningful, community-rooted journalism.1/2
IPSMF welcomes BaiManus as our newest grantee. It is a Maharashtra-based, Marathi, grassroots media platform amplifying marginalised voices, composed largely of trained rural women reporters covering underreported social, gender, and environmental issues. 1/1
The MookNayak took its name from the pages of history, inspired by the first newspaper founded by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. Led by @KotwalMeena, @The_Mooknayak began its journey as a digital media outlet in 2021 with a commitment to amplifying the voices of the exploited, deprived -
minorities, farmers, and workers. It focuses on issues concerning marginalised and Bahujan communities, covering topics ranging from crime against Dalits and minorities to protests that escaped the gaze of mainstream media.
We are delighted to welcome @The_Mooknayak on board.
