MEA Secretary (West) Amb Sibi George received Leticia Reis de Carvalho, Secretary-General of the International Seabed Authority (ISA) who is on an official visit to India.
Discussions covered ISA's ongoing activities, progress towards finalising the draft regulations for extraction, India's active engagement with ISA and its continued commitment to multilateralism.
Officials from the Ministry of External Affairs, Ministry of Earth Sciences and ISA were present during the meeting.
