Due to the recent nazi salutes by Twitters CEO I am no longer going to be using this app until further notice. If you want to follow along with my CPL and Atletico Ottawa context follow my substack or follow me on threads @iainwf
Juan Miguel Vega Francis has been unveiled as @atletiOttawa new CEO
Interesting tidbit of information:
Gabby Carvalho who the team signed on a development contract around July 21 isn't included on the master list or in the photo. While Adam Ross who was signed to a development contract at the same time is in the photo and on the master list.

The Liberal govt's decision to undermine 9,300 Canadian rail workers with a binding arbitration sends a message to big corporations like CN & CPKC:
Being a bad boss pays off
Justin Trudeau's actions are cowardly, anti-worker, & proof that he will always cave to corporate greed.
I recently had the pleasure of having a sit down interview with Sam Salter. Where we covered everything from the team's current slump, where the CPL should expand to next and what book he is currently reading. #CanPL

Maybe if our transit system wasn’t designed around getting people downtown and instead was designed for getting people around the city we wouldn’t be in this mess. Oh and also maybe if we raised property tax more than 2.5% that could of helped
It's time for the federal and provincial governments to recognize the scope of the crisis in our city. And to recognize that we didn’t create this mess. It's time for Ottawa to get our fair share. Please sign my petition and add your voice to the fight for fairness: marksutcliffe.ca/active/fair…
My thoughts on the latest Atlético Ottawa game.
Atlético Lose Second Game in a Row open.substack.com/pub/atleti…
Ottawa really dropped the ball on this one. They spent to much in the winter window and now have no cap space to bring in a new player when the team is falling flat and needs reinforcements badly
Not a good look for Canada. Will be interesting to see if Priestman stays on after the games

Shocking that a wanted war criminal would be allowed to speak to the US congress
🔊 Dozens of Democrats boycotted a Congress speech by Benjamin Netanyahu and demonstrations took place outside. We look at how Israel has reacted to these protests on the Reuters World News daily podcast reut.rs/4fjynNm
About time the Liberals actually put out attack ads on Pierre. This should have happened as soon as he became the leader. I’m afraid it’s to late for this to make much of an impact on voters now tho

Today is the 20th anniversary of Pierre Poilievre becoming an MP.
1999 Pierre would be outraged 😱

The CPC won’t
- magically bring down interest rates
- magically bring down real estate prices
- magically bring down rent
- magically stop grocery prices
They will
- end $10 per day daycare
- dental care for those making less than 70 G
- decrease healthcare spending..to start

Huge pickup for Ottawa, makes the loss to York bearable. Will be interesting to see which player is departing to make room for him
BREAKING: Former @cfmontreal attacking player @Sean_Rea10 is going back to the @CPLsoccer He will be joining @atletiOttawa for the rest of the season

Would of been great if OneSoccer had put the match up on YouTube as they have done previously. Especially as the majority of fans only subscribe to Fubo.
Not being able to watch the game sure makes writing a match report for the Atlético Gazette rather difficult
NOW AIRING 🚨
@ValourFootball takes on @AtletiOttawa in #CanPL Matchweek 9 action, now LIVE on OneSoccer (alt. channel) 📺
Fernando is such a nice guy and genuinely cares about the fans at the club, he will be missed. Will be interesting to see where he lands next.
Big question is why? The club has been doing great this season and there weren't any signs of discontent showing.

After launching the club in 2020, Fernando López steps away as CEO of Atlético Ottawa.
