Garrison Flats Community Garden has been growing since 1997 It started on City land, and neighbours without backyards have spent nearly 30 years turning it into an inner-city oasis. People grow their own vegetables and plants, and it's become a habitat for bees and birds. Now the City wants to build affordable housing next door. lan supports more housing, but says the site could have been redesigned to make room for both.
