Replying to @BrandenCPC
Justin Trudeau will go down in history as one of the best Prime Ministers Canada ever had.
Stephen Harper the worst, and Pierre Poilievre will never be Prime Minister. NEVER!

Just finished a national #cdnpoli survey, and we have the Liberals and CPC tied among 18 to 29.
Change over two weeks:
April 29:
CPC 43%
LPC 20%
May 15:
CPC 33% (-10)
LPC 32% (+12)
The change is statistically significant.
Is this the budget bounce with Gen Z the Liberals were hoping for?

It should also be noted that Canada’s inflation is second lowest in the G7. Despite what Pierre Poilievre and the CPC keep saying, Canada is NOT broken

🖖 Any cultural critic or media scholar would tell you that Star Trek, as an enterprise (pun mildly intended), helped invent a model for fandom through its faithful following originating in the '60s. The original sci-fi television series broke new ground for its diverse cast and unapologetically progressive values, like exploration over colonialism and cooperation over violence.
For its enduring dedication to storytelling that projects the best of humanity into the distant future, the Star Trek franchise is honored with the Peabody Institutional Award. Read more: peabodyawards.com/award-prof…

❗️Now the whole world has seen from the actions of Israel's allies in the sky and neighboring countries, how effective unity can be in the protection against terror, if the basis of unity is sufficient political will. Israel, America, Britain, France and Jordan acted together.
Israel is not a member of NATO, and there was no need for anything like the activation of Article 5. And no one was drawn into the war. They simply helped protect life — Zelenskyi in the evening address.
"Shahedy" in the sky of Ukraine sound the same as in the sky of the Middle East. Ballistics hit the same everywhere if not knocked down. The skies of Europe could have long ago received exactly the kind of protection it needs, if Ukraine had the same full support of its partners in shooting down drones and missiles.
Terror must lose everywhere and completely, not somewhere more and somewhere less

UCP OBSTRUCTS ACCESS TO SEXUAL HEALTH AND EDUCATION
The UCP has instructed Alberta Health Services (AHS) to delete social media accounts that provide sexual health education.
AHS affiliates such as Teaching Sexual Health can no longer be found on X (previously known as Twitter), under the UCP’s instruction. The account had last shared information on consent before it was deleted entirely.
“The UCP can’t stop interfering with access to women’s healthcare and critical health information, which includes sexual health,” says Julia Hayter, Alberta NDP MLA for Calgary-Edgemont and Status of Women Critic.
“Sharing accurate, science-based sexual health information on social media platforms promotes important sexual health awareness for parents and teachers, and provides critical information for young people about consent.
“First, the UCP made it more difficult for kids to learn about sexual health in schools and now they’re gatekeeping access to sexual health education online. This is all while opting out of a national pharmacare program which, among other benefits, would give women barrier-free access to contraception.”
Today, on International Women’s Day, Hayter called on Danielle Smith and Adriana LaGrange to do the right thing for all girls and women in Albertan and support the national pharmacare program.
The first part of the recently announced national pharmacare program includes coverage for birth control and diabetes medication but the UCP government plans to opt out of the program.
“Access to free prescription contraception in Alberta would ensure that more women are in control of their own lives and their own economic future,“ said Julia Hayter Alberta NDP MLA for Calgary-Edgemont and Status of Women Critic.
“We know that people who live in poverty are often forced to choose between buying food for their family and buying medication. We are currently in the worst affordability crisis in a century, and with the rising costs of rent and groceries, birth control should not be a luxury item.
“Universal access to free prescription contraception is good health policy, it’s good economic policy, and it’s absolutely the right thing to do.”

You know what makes me angry?
When I admit a patient with metastatic cancer who’s unlikely to survive… and if that patient had been able to access a family doctor and simple routine screening tests they would have been most likely cured months ago. Now it’s too late.
This happens far too often. Not being able to access care sooner is absolutely killing people. It happens over and over again. It’s pretty pathetic for the billions of dollars we spend on healthcare.
