Host Kasie Hunt cut the segment short as soon as the comparison came up.
Huntās reaction focused on Leavitt bringing up the earlier remark rather than on Tapper making the Nazi comparison in the first place.
The exchange is now circulating as another example of selective pushback during a live hit.
