Interesting stat this weekend. OKX says they're seeing record inflows post-Coldcard, called it the flip side of FTX. FTX pushed people into self-custody, this is pushing them back to exchanges. (theblock.co/post/410515) Worth pausing on though, because moving to an exchange doesn't fix what broke. Coldcard's hardware RNG flag said on, it wasn't. Seeds came from the chip's serial number and uptime instead, guessable offline, $70M+ gone, no device access needed. A control saying it's working and just not being doesn't stop mattering because someone else is holding the keys now. We don't generate seeds. Key shares are made independently, in separate hardware-isolated environments, each with its own randomness, signing together without ever forming one full key. Bad randomness in one share doesn't leak the key. Splitting the key gets you the architecture. Doesn't prove the randomness underneath is sound. You still have to check that, wherever the keys live.

.@IdanOfrat splits digital assets into three waves: crypto trading, stablecoin payments, tokenized securities. Stablecoins are already 65% of Fireblocks volume. More than crypto. Where it goes next runs on agents. Read the full interview w/ @BukovskiBuko3 from the @TheBigWhale_→ fblks.co/4xcZge7

Many PSPs talk the talk, Checkout actually walks the blockchain walk as well. As of today, if you’re a @Checkout merchant, you should ask (demand!) them to settle with you 24/7 using Stablecoins. Yes, 24/7. Why? Because you want your capital management to be as efficient as possible, so you could do more for your business. Congrats to the amazing Checkout and Fireblocks teams for working on this - checkout.com/newsroom/checko…

From today's #Money2020EU keynote session: "Agentic payments have to be backwards compatible. You can't ask every merchant and payments company to rebuild their infrastructure from scratch. It has to layer onto the rails they already have. And security and compliance have to be baked in, not bolted on." - @IdanOfrat at @money2020 Europe

Lots of "agentic commerce" announcements lately. Most of it is PR masquerading as product. We took our time. Talked to customers. Built the governance layer that's actually missing from the stack. New article on what agentic payments need to work at scale 👇

Who said MCP is dead? This is a major uplift. A lot of genuinely good ideas in there
The release candidate for MCP 2026-07-28 is out. The protocol is now stateless: no handshake, no session id, any request can hit any server instance. Plus extensions as first-class (MCP Apps, Tasks), auth hardening, and a proper deprecation policy so we don't have to do this again. blog.modelcontextprotocol.io…

Today's payment infrastructure assumes a human initiates every transaction. Agent commerce can't. We launched the Fireblocks Agentic Payments Suite and joined the x402 Foundation to build the governance layer that's been missing. Policy enforcement, compliance, audit trails. At agent speed, before signing. fblks.co/blog-agentic-paymen…

dashboards are so 2025 🤷🏻‍♀️
Fireblocks now supports agentic workflows via CLI. Developers and AI agents can operate the full platform programmatically: manage digital assets, automate treasury operations, build at scale. Docs → fblks.co/fireblocks-cli

A great update for both builders and operators. As someone who uses Claude Code daily to test and build on our platform, it completely changes the workflow. Another step in our mission to make Fireblocks agent-first

Agents can’t tell a "valid exception" from a hallucination. That judgment gap is the core constraint behind every agentic decision we make
Agents need governance infrastructure, not just AI features. The next unsolved problem: agent identity and trust at scale. @IdanOfrat on what Fireblocks built, learned, and where it goes next → fblks.co/3P9Rjps

When @paulg and @bchesky talked about founder mode it really resonated with me. I've always been the type to ignore org charts and just give people context directly, but the reality was you still needed a clear hierarchy just to keep information flowing consistently @jack is right, and I'm already seeing it happen in my day2day. With agents being able to monitor *everything*, the span of control is becoming much wider and easier to manage. This was the missing piece to really push velocity higher and keep the team super aligned. Exciting times

This.
the most underrated hire right now is a great product person. when i say product person i'm def not talking about a product manager. perhaps i think there has to be somewhat of a new role. i don't have a good name for it yet but maybe something like "product thinker".. someone with an intuitive grasp of the product as it exists, where it's soft, where it sings, & how to iterate it toward something even sharper. in some sense, this person has to cohesively hold in their head where this product should be 2 years from now & work backwards from that. i say this cuz when building was hard, engineering was the bottleneck & the status hierarchy often reflected that. building is no longer hard. which means the variance in outcomes has shifted almost entirely to judgment on what to build, how to sequence it, & how to talk about it. & the story matters as much as the thing. internally, it organizes the team around a shared model of why. externally, it shapes the interpretive frame users bring to their first experience. you can't retrofit narrative onto a product & expect it to land, it has to be load bearing from the start. the rarest version of this person sits at the intersection of culture & deep technology. someone genuinely bilingual. they know what's technically possible & they know which cultural currents are real vs. ephemeral. that combo is what separates products that feel inevitable from products that feel assembled. before ppl clap back with this person has always been valuable, i know.. i am just saying now they might be the most *important* person in the room. their value compounds like never before.
