I wanted to message @jessiegender to remind her that this account is hers as soon as she asks for it, but when I tried I saw this and now I'm sad.

VHS in reality was awful... but I may have a whole poetic moment dedicated to the VHS aesthetic in IDENTITEAZE.

God no. Most people who used VHS are not nostalgic for VHS because it was a terrible medium to watch anything on. Unless you enjoy fuzziness, poor audio quality, and manually rewinding tapes. Don't even get me started on when the VCR would eat the tapes. 🫠

Part of my goal with IDENTITEAZE is to try to recapture that feeling of the limitless possibilities of the internet and technology so many of my generation felt in the 90s - a sense of boundless identity and opportunity, one that has now been endlessly corporatized and monetized.

Worth restating that Nebula is 30 bucks for an entire YEAR. You're not only paying to find out what the context of this image is- that's just a bonus.

Looks like the villain of IDENTITEAZE showed up before it was even finished.

I just saw the first cut of the trailer for IDENTITEAZE that @WatchNebula put together and hot damn is it so cool. It boggles my mind that there is a really cool trailer for a movie I made!

Stuff like this sucks. Also, it’s just saddening as a filmmaker. One of the joys I’ve had working on IDENTITEAZE is hiring artists like the fantastic @crwlls to make art for set design for the movie; and seeing their wonderful work in the film. And I have a much smaller budget.

"Three still images for very brief interstitials" It's part of the set design background. It's on the drum kit. They got called out and decided the best course of action is to lie about the extent that AI is used in their film. Late Night With the Devil... indeed.

Between my film IDENTITEAZE, Abigail Thorn's DRACULA'S EX-GIRLFRIEND, and Mia Moore's AGAIN, AGAIN - it's gonna be a good year for transgender scifi/horror film!

Just finished the VFX spotting session for IDENTITEAZE! It was literally several hours of queer folks making dirty VFX jokes. I love making nerdy queer scifi movies.
