it looks like my previous post was right, they're activating it at certain times then immediately deactivating it. it's nothing more than a marketing ploy to get people to play the game, which is funny because this is going to be one of the reasons the game completely dies
I was so hyped for this season, especially with my fav anime One Piece finally being added. yet with these revelations I think it's time to finally stop playing fortnite.
I've been playing since chapter 1 season 3. I've always had fun playing this game, yet the fact they can be THIS scummy? nah man I refused to support a company who just views me like actual shit.
they claimed "every player has an equal opportunity to find pirate shop access" yet we now know that's a complete lie. it makes sense now why the official fortnite account hasn't said a thing about the token, they're trying to avoid as much accountability as possible
I feel bad for leakers like @HYPEX and @FireMonkey as we've been giving them a stupid amount of grief for not revealing the odds when in reality, they just don't know. the only one that does is epic themselves
it's such a shame how when the time came for them to finally add my most wanted collab, they turn around and spit in our faces

I'm starting to think the theory that Fortnite is removing the token or lowering its drop rates at different times is real. This is shooting themselves in the foot if many players don't get the token because of this; they'll quit Fortnite on the 19th, and I'm one of them.

If Epic keep the token at this drop rate, I hope they realise that more people will hate this game than there was beforehand, people are already getting exhauted and playing other games
To compete against GTA 6, you need to actually acknowledge what your community wants
Either increase the odds every 2-3 days, or set a specific goal to reach for it, maybe 3000 chests
As of right now, no one will care for Chapter 8 and beyond if they feel like they wasted a month for nothing

as I've already said, most of the people who have got the token don't even really play the game. the very people that keep the game alive are being told to fuck off while those that don't even play get rewarded

It should’ve been a massive community goal like open 5 billion chests or whatever by the end of the season.
And to also ensure it’s fair…each player needs to at least open say 1K. You can’t just be afk all season and get the reward at the end of the season.
It’s what dbd does. They set a community challenge goal and set a minimum requirement for a player to do to obtain the reward if it is met.

I miss when the crew used to look like they actually cared
We used to get packs that would've gone for like 3000-4000 vbucks if they were in the shop and now we just get a skin, a backbling, and a pickaxe with two base styles and 4 copypasted legacy styles
