Something not enough ppl talk about: RIKERS’ ONLY REASON FOR EXISTENCE IS TO ENSURE PPL GET TO COURT.
Since @NYCMayor and @DOCCommish took over, the rate of getting ppl to court (which was steady even during COVID at over 94%) plummeted to just over 70%.
