Tonight's final session of the World Championships will be the first time without John Virgo commentating in over 30 years. I really hope it's DT & Hendry. DT is the only one who can emulate the excitement JV had for the winners. You're sorely missed, JV. 💔❤️

Congratulations to @evans_reanne on another record extending win. 64 ranking titles 🏆Just incredible stuff. Am I right in thinking she's only 4 titles away from the taking that #1 spot from Allison Fisher and becoming the most successful ladies snooker player of all time?
🏆 EVANS IS NICHE CUES CHAMPION! Congratulations to Reanne Evans who has won the Niche Cues Women's Snooker Open title for the first time following a 5-0 victory against Mink Nutcharut at Niche Premium Snooker in Malaysia. The title is the 64th ranking title of her career and first since February 2025. More follows... #WomensSnooker | @nichepremiumsnooker

Fuck. 😭
❌ With only four ranking events left in 2026, could one of professional snooker's most impressive streaks be coming to an end?

It's so annoying that when the snooker was on I wasn't feeling it and didn't really watch much, but now there's no snooker on.. I want to watch the snooker 🥲

Just walked Hap. My next door neighbour stopped me. Theyre moving to England today and he wanted to thank for me for being a nice neighbour and for being good with their kids (who always shout hello from the garden, like over and over and over 😅) and to apologise for all the noise the kids make. Made me quite sad tbh. Having nice neighbours really does make a difference. God knows who'll move in next door now 🥲

I've thought long and hard, probably for at least a decade now, that I want to find my brothers and sisters who I've never met. It seems the process is a bit of an arduous nightmare with forms and stuff, but I think it might be time. I've turned 40 and I'm having some sort of existential crisis. I don't care about my birth parents, but I've been an only child my whole life whilst having (at least) 7 siblings out there somewhere. I'm the baby, the youngest of them all. And I always wonder do they look like me, sound like me, like the things I like, had the same struggles as me. Ive been living a lifetime of unanswered questions. I've researched what I need to do, have helpline numbers that I can call for help. It is a huge life changing decision but I think I will start the process early into the new year. Fucking hell.

I've lost count of the amount of times I've had to watch this video in training groups and on courses. It is by far the most overwhelmingly powerful video showing the affects of addiction that I've seen. It's a very sad clip, and I've seen people moved to tears watching it
Sigue siendo el mejor vídeo sobre adicción que se ha creado

Personally, I think the qualifiers should be open to the public, and be treated like theyre actually part of the event theyre qualifying for. It's rounds 1 and 2, it's qualifying for the venue but still part of the tournament. They've turned them into soulless, miserable affairs, blocked together so losses are compounded and can ruin a players season. Not only that theyre months apart from the actual event. It all needs a good think and an overhaul.
Mark Williams says that qualifying events on the World Snooker Tour should be scrapped, with everyone playing at the same venue. However, he said he would agree to seeing tour player numbers reduced in order to accommodate this. 📷 Link to the full story in the comments below.

Inspired by @esel_freund wanting to post art, and suggested by @snookerMagda, I shall start the challenge today of posting paintings or photography that I love. Let's have a beautiful timeline. Day 1. Wanderer Above the Sea of Fog (1812) - Casper David Friedrich

I just watched Reanne win her match at the Womens Open. I assume there's more matches upcoming because the stream is still running. Bit of snooker for anyone before the NI Open this afternoon youtube.com/live/mq4roPKJi00…

For those who listen to audiobooks, the John Virgo book is up for pre-order, with the release date listed as the 12th November. Can't wait for this. It'll probably be the most emotional snooker book there's ever been. #WheresTheCueballGoing ❤️💔

Lived here for coming up to 3 years. Very quiet area. Now that there's been a murder, even though it was an isolated incident, I walked my mum back towards town after she sat with Hap. Only ever worried about Hap being attacked by another dog. Thats changed now. Fucking hell.

Like a few other here, if John goes out, which its looking very likely he will, I'll struggle to enjoy any more of the tournament. All hopes on Willo.

Can't believe Jak won that frame. Jesus christ. Should be 2-0 here.

Dunno if it's just me, but the venue sounds very loud, more so than usual. I could hear the ref calling out the scores on the Ryan Day match earlier. I"m hearing all the footsteps. Ref calling scores is really loud, balls going into the pocket are thunderous.

Also on a side note; I have been championing Rachel for years, she is one of the absolute best in our sport and it's so nice to see the praise she's receiving for how she handled both emotional interviews yesterday. She doesnt get enough credit for how wonderful she is at her job
