This new direct link brings India’s commercial capital within easier reach of the Greater Toronto Area, opening up new possibilities for business, trade, tourism and education and making it more convenient for families and friends to stay connected. This is another step in the growing momentum in India–Canada relations, and it strengthens the people-to-people ties that form the foundation of our partnership. The Consul General also toured the Port of Hamilton, gaining valuable insights into its operations and its contribution to Ontario’s industrial and commercial ecosystem. The meeting centred on discussing opportunities to deepen the university’s engagement with India across academic, research, student mobility, and faculty collaboration. The Consul General was also provided an overview of the University’s campus and research facilities, including visit to Faculty of Science research lab.
