Back to back possessions, back to back 60 yard field goals. Luke Drzewiecki hit from 60 for Minnesota. Paddy McAteer answered from 60 for Indiana. The last game we can find with two 60 yard field goals made: Texas A&M's Tony Franklin hit from 64 and 65 against Baylor in 1976, when kickers still used tees. Since 2004 our play-by-play has 91 games where regulation ended with back-to-back field goals by opposite teams, the second one forcing overtime. In none of them were both kicks 50 yards or longer, let alone 60. The closest: - Syracuse and Wake Forest, 2019: Syracuse hit from 49 with 44 seconds left, and Wake answered from 43 at the gun. - Georgia Southern and Georgia, 2015: Georgia Southern hit from 48, Georgia answered from 43. That exchange was earlier in the fourth quarter. - Eastern Michigan and Buffalo, 2025: Buffalo forced overtime with a 50-yarder at 0:00, but Eastern Michigan's kick before it was from 42.
