ALT We are overwhelmed with the response to VIGNETTES, in partnership with Greater Mancheseter Rape Crisis. We have been inundated with beautiful messages and emails. We see every single one and, where relevant, have forwarded to the relevant creatives / GMRC. Please know that we see you and will respond as soon as possible. In this time immediately after, we are taking time to process and rest, but will get back to you all. And are sending so much love and gratitude to everyone impacted by this work. We feel the love and solidarity. Listen. Believe. Support. #GreaterManchesterRapeCrisis
ALT Protest. Poetry. Peace and Song. Words & songs of protest, peace and song. In Solidarity with women, for women across the globe ARTIST CALL-OUT
ALT About the event - On the 17th of October, Protest. Poetry. Peace and Song. returns to the King’s Arms to raise funds for another female focused UK based charity. On the night we will use our words and songs of protest, peace and healing in solidarity with women, for women all corners of the world. In recent months there has been a number of attacks on women’s rights across the globe from abortion rights being stripped away in America to the outbreak of a revolution in Iran. Our event will stand in unity with these issues and will celebrate what it means to be a woman. We will be hosting artists, singers, spoken word artists and theatre makers who identify as female to give amplification to their voice in a safe environment and perform the things that matter most to them. This will be done through monologues, duologues, songs, poetry and spoken word. This will all be done in the hope to dream of a better world for every single human being.
ALT What We're looking for - We are seeking female identifying artists based in Greater Manchester who can perform material that includes the likes of monologues, duologues, songs, poetry and spoken word. This material can be original, covered or inspired by. There are 15 spaces available on the night and each slot is allocated 5 minutes each. Due to the fundraising nature of this event, this is an unpaid opportunity. You must be free on the evening of Tuesday 17th of October 2023 from 5pm until 9.30pm. Best wishes and hope to hear from you soon Peripeteia Theatre Company Express your interest before the 2nd of October through DM or by emailing [email protected]
