We lost Duke this week. He was only 8. Had some stomach trouble in the evening, pretty common for him, and by morning was gone. Such a shock. RIP buddy

I finished @tonilodge's book today. I love books that can make me cry in one breath and laugh in the next. I definitely recommend the audiobook on this one. The moments where she can't keep the emotion out of her voice are very touching.

A tourist called me sir yesterday, not something we do in nor cal. I realized being called sir doesn't make me feel old. What makes me feel old is people my age complaining about "kids these days" and how "no one makes good music anymore."
Today I was asked why I dress like an extrovert when I don't want anyone to talk to me. This feels like some kind of burn.
I'm reading a new fantasy series, new to me. It has magic, vampires, shape shifters and the most improbable thing of all is the MC can afford an apartment in the city and a home in the country on a 30k a year salary.
