I had this naggin' feelin' in the back of my head."
He placed his elbows on the table, laced his fingers, and rested his chin on them.
"Ya walk around like someone who's fully aware of how to move their body, someone who's seen their fair amounts of fights and the like..."
"Oh ya can say somethin' like that. I tend to get drawn to places that get action."
He watched as the floating spectral hand stopped as she spoke before floating away, letting out a small chuckle.
"I knew it, I knew there was somethin' more to ya than a simple tavern owner.-
somethin' they didn't think of. Maybe they thought we'd keep our walls up so high that they can isolate us... but I can tell ya I ain't got walls."
His hand would take hers, lacing their fingers together.
"Yer not alone Izana... ya got me, yer certified badass" he smirked"
here to use ya, to manipulate or gaslight or whatever, I ain't that smart. Ya can trust me... and ya don't gotta do thin's alone. It's the two of us in this marriage. If yer upset, mad, angry, sad, whatever... ya can tell me. We ain't gotta do this alone... hell, maybe that's-
are, two very different people, who have the fate of Heavens and Hells in their hands."
He took a moment to process things before turning his head to look at her.
"If I took ya from someone, I'm sorry. If I ruined plans ya had in mind, I'm sorry. But ya can trust me. I ain't-
the ceiling as he spoke.
"Our whole situation is... well if I'm bein' honest, fucked. We had our own lives, and by circumstances, we were picked for whatever reason they had. Hell, not even my own ma with her visions of fate told me everythin'... now that's fucked. So here we-
This time his hand was the one that held her lithe fingers, caressed by his coarse and rough ones.
"Seems to me that I got a lot of work to do. Not only do I gotta win ya over, I got yer children who I am sure are protective of ya."
He laid down beside her, looking towards-
they were or how they could have been.
His gaze met hers as he looked up into her eyes...then a small chuckle.
In a blur, he would roll her over, putting her on the bed while he was positioned over her, though he did not pin her down. She was free to move away any which way.-
It was a curse of sorts for him, the constant ability to read body language...but he found himself entertained that when it came to her, he couldn't always nail her down. Her children did matter to her, though he couldn't tell if her last child she felt upset because of how-
left alone. It was almost as if once you passed the dangerous outer layer, there was a safe inner layer.
Holding the door open for her, she would find herself in a tavern that had an aura of freedom and peace. Those who knew this place were to be trusted.
It of booze and joy.
In truth, they were quite some distance from that brewery specifically. That being said, it wasn't as if their liquor wasn't sold if you knew where to look. And he knew where to look.
He would guide to woman into town, then towards the more dangerous areas, yet the two were-
He raise his hand, the corpse of the man rising up as it was still bound in chains.
"Didn't ya know Flora, ya silly girl... there's a beast who sustains on the divine... yer bound to get yerself killed. Imagine a lone divine noble... what could happen to him..."
for them, Flora had Lonan, and he was built for the grungier style of combat and war.
"Flora... I'm gonna need ya to look away, this ain't gonna be pretty. I don't make it a habit of desecratin' corpses, especially considering ma... but I'm sure she'd make an exception here."
she had a hand in his death. They also wouldn't believe that bandits came and killed him, he couldn't fake that. In the end, there was no choice that someone with half a working mind would think to to put suspicious on Flora, especially as rebellious as she was.
Unfortunately-
an obsession.
He focused his eye on the man as Flora spoked. It'll be some time before people come looking for him. They would more likely come looking for her than him. The blood would grab attention, and it's well known that this blood would not be hers. They would think that-
being selfish is inherently a bad thing. One must be able about themselves, to wish for the best for themselves, to want the things they yearn for and getting them. If one didn't love themselves, how could they love another. The biggest thing is there's a difference between love-
It is so very easy to be selfish. To do things that only benefited one's self. It took effort to want to do things for others that didn't directly benefit you aside from feeling good about it. Emotions can change quickly, tangible things less so.
Though that is not to say that-
