In 2015, I marched for Bernie and donated to his campaign.
In 2019, after years of being a miserable democratic socialist who blamed everyone else for my sadness, I decided that I couldnāt stand being a miserable fuck anymore, and needed to start taking risks and aggressively started doing stuff to change my life.
I started working multiple jobs. I had 3 I was juggling at one point. I funded my life with one of them, and with the additional jobs, I invested all of my dollars in Palantir. It was honestly fun. Yeah, I worked 70 hours a week usually and sometimes would go 60 days without a day off, but it was exhilarating. I was making changes and doing things. It was way better than being miserable and angry and making my entire identity about politics and my disdain for āthe rich.ā Those were hopeless times and I was glad to be doing something for myself.
I was able to grow a portfolio of 4,000 Palantir shares at an 8 dollar cost basis between 2021-2023. 32,000 dollars from hardcore grinding. Between 2023-2025, that 32 grand grew to over 400 grand. In May 2024 I started rotating some of the profits into TSLA, along with purchasing with new income.
Iāve learned so much about capitalism since 2019, how wealth is created, and the difference between makers and takers. Iāve been inspired by so many amazing builders and entrepreneurs on this platform. Iāve even interacted with many of them. Totally surreal.
Today, I cheered in my car as it drove me home when I heard that Elonās pay package was approved. I voted my 750 shares on it with a huge grin on my face. If Elon gets paid 1 trillion dollars, I will be a multimillionaire.
After all Iāve been through and after everything Iāve done for myself over the last 10 years, I look at this post by Bernie and know I wouldāve cheered it on in 2015, but today, I see it for what it actually is. Manipulative, depressing rhetoric intended to depress a base of voters and make them feel hopelessly dependent on him and his colleagues. None of them build anything or create value or give working class people like me the opportunity to peg my labor against their genius. They did nothing but make me miserable.
I hope even one person can read this get pumped to start doing shit. There are ups and downs, but itās yours. Nobody can take your grind away from you. Kick ass and build over years of time and watch what happens along the way. Donāt listen to sad miserable people like Bernie.

IMO, adoption is low for 3 reasons:
1) Cost to own a Tesla. This is the biggest factor. The vast majority of car buyers are still priced out. The fact that Teslas are lower cost than the average new vehicle price doesnāt matter a ton. The vast majority of cars sold in USA are used vehicles. Lots of demand from younger, more tech-oriented people who are still totally priced out. Most of these individuals will experience their first self driving Tesla through Robotaxi.
2) Fear of technology. Second biggest factor. People are overwhelmed and frightened by the idea that a vehicle would drive them around. Itās a brand new technology and there is a safety component. This piece will take time, but this will inevitably be conquered, and fear of driving around manual drivers will take over. The litmus here is the fact that weāve gotten humans to sit in airplanes and be flown at high speeds through the clouds by strangers, in a vehicle they know almost nothing about. If the convenience is there, people will adjust. UFSD and cost reduction (robotaxi) will accelerate this process.
3) Total lack of awareness. Even the majority of Tesla owners who do not adopt FSD genuinely donāt know anything about it. Iāve talked to countless Tesla owners who demonstrate total cluelessness when I ask them about fsd. āI havenāt tried it, but I donāt want to because Iām afraid Iāll get addicted and have to pay for it.ā āI tried it once in my friendās Tesla in 2023 but havenāt gotten it on mine.ā Most Tesla owners donāt even know what HW3 or HW4 are. They bought the Tesla because itās the best EV, and they love the car, but thatās enough for them for now. And this is just Tesla owners. Most people who donāt own Teslas (the majority of people) have no clue about it yet and donāt even bother to seek it out because they donāt actually know it exists. Think of times youāve shown non Tesla people FSD? The āholy shitā impressed rate is almost 100%.
Chuck is correct. This is the sort of thing where sentiment will flip abruptly, and adoption will go parabolic. Weāre all just so glued to all of this that we donāt realize how early along it is. It is inevitable but we are in the very early innings.
There will be an inflection point where people just get it, but won't happen without butts in seats. You don't start believing in FSD just by looking at a Tesla. You have to see it to believe it. I can't tell you how many people compare FSD to their own car's lane assist. @robotaxi will help spread the word but that will take time. Those that understand have to spread the word. @teslasi

ASS and BANISH will be used at scale when you can get out of your car in front of a store, and walk away with the same level of confidence you walk away with knowing that your car is going to auto lock in a parking spot.
When itās that good, it will be useful. Everyone will use it.
Weāre already there with V14 IMO. Just needs to be implemented.
Imagine the viral nature of FSD when everyone sees this happening.

Come on @elonmusk
Itās almost winter again and these issues still will cause MOST disengagements.
Hi @Tesla ,
Thanks for introducing a free trial for FSD and the lower cost that I can afford.
We had the trial on both of our Model 3s. We decided to keep FSD subscription active on my car, because I drive about 5-6000km per month.
Here is some constructive suggestion regarding FSD:
1. Personalized Routing:
As a commuter, I know things about my route a software canāt know yet.
For instance, road conditions, school and transit bus routes, bad cell reception, construction vehicle (dump truck) and tractor usage of roads, or roads that FSD may make mistakes on etc. For these and other reasons it is important to add the feature of personalized routes.
The solution is simple: By allowing us to design and save a route we will provide added human experience to your model, and enjoy a better user experience.
I disengage several times per day to override routing simply to tell the vehicle to use the route I took yesterday. This could be as simple as āsave this previous trip route asā¦ā very low development costs.
2. Customizable Driving Styles:
As someone who drives a lot I am very cautious not to cause unneeded toil for my vehicle. Currently as I write this I have 358,000km of Tesla ownership.
If I could get my car to drive like an efficient human I can reduce energy costs and tire costs.
The solutions will also cause a little more common sense for the model simply by allowing us a few variables to choose from we currently canāt use.
- Follow distance customizability (similar to standard Autopilot) but with much wiser max distance settings. In the winter, the spray from those in front is a reason not to use FSD. We need to be able to move the vehicle to the full 250ft or more that it can be behind a vehicle and match their speed. This seems like a simple setting to re-add, and will increase FSD capabilities for driverless conditions in the model.
We will help you to train conditions that it should extend follow distance. For safety, it would be good to simply engage a voice command during FSD usage āincrease to max follow distanceā. You will be amazed how much our training the fleet with this will save your Robo Taxi fleet on windshield washer fluid and stone chip repairs.
- Maximum regen and efficiency user controls.
Currently FSD does not use Tesla braking like efficiently driving humans. It would be better to, in correlation with the follow distance adjustment, also have the vehicle increase its braking time to use the standard braking less, and roll at speed a little more. Another way to increase efficiency and user experience is to open the tolerance on the speed so that the vehicle will roll more - but this does not include rolling into lower speed limit zones. Currently this is a big reason I disengage and it is sometimes unsafe racing into towns from higher speed rural roads.
It would also be good to add a gauge or standard of some sort to the energy usage bar that shows green when decelerating so we can stay within an ideal watts per km, and even better if we can suggest a whpkm so the car drives more carefully and efficiently when safe to do so.
- Accelerator reduction
Right now FSD is harder on tires, including laterally. The above may allow us to fix this, but at least for now we need a way to reduce accelerator aggression and slow down more into corners.
These suggestions are not features AI needs a model for yet, but rather features that allow us to better train your model and increase user experience.
We love our Teslas! Thank you for making the worldās best cars and always being approachable for suggestions!

Today I swung my front door wide open and placed my Remington 30.06 on the deck rail. I left six cartridges beside it, then left it alone and went about my business.
While I was gone, the mailman delivered my mail, my neighbor across the street mowed his lawn, a girl walked her dog down the street, and quite a few cars stopped at the stop sign near the front of my house.
After about an hour, I checked on the gun. It was still sitting there, right where I had left it. It hadn't moved itself off the deck rail. It hadn't killed anyone, even with the numerous opportunities it had presented to do so.
In fact, it hadn't even loaded itself. You can imagine my surprise, with all the hype by the Left and the Media about how dangerous guns are and how they kill people.
Either the media is wrong or I'm in possession of the laziest gun in the world.
The United States is third in murders throughout the World. But if you take out just four cities: Chicago , Detroit , Washington DC and New Orleans , the United States is fourth from the bottom, in the entire world, for murders.
These four Cities also have the toughest Gun Control Laws in the U.S. All four of these cities are CONTROLLED BY DEMOCRATS. It would be absurd to draw any conclusions from this data - correct?
Well, I'm off to check on my spoons. I hear they're making people fat .
