One of the most horrific forms of torment we endure today is what the Israeli occupation army does by allowing the entry of frozen food after its expiration date, food that has been left for days and weeks under the burning sun at the borders, deliberately blocked from entering in time. By the time it rots and spoils, it is released into our markets, as if it were fit for human consumption. What is even worse is that a single kilo of chicken is sold at an outrageous price of 300 shekels — nearly 90 dollars — in a calculated policy designed to break us: only tiny amounts are allowed in, keeping the prices unbearably high so that no one can afford them. Having food present but unattainable is far more painful than its complete absence; we see it before our eyes, yet we cannot reach it. The grief and hunger remain carved into our hearts at all times. Israel has left no method of torture untried against us. It has subjected us to every form of suffering: from bombings and massacres, to displacement and starvation, to violations of every international prohibition. And yet, Israel alone is permitted to commit these crimes, to test every inhumane measure upon us, while the world turns away in silence.💔
