Super grateful to @CedricBardyLab and everyone involved for this opportunity to be part of research investigating #braincancer. In this review, we look at #Glioblastoma and how tumour cells mimic and utilise typical neuronal pathways to adapt to environments and therapeutics.

This is just one piece of the puzzle, but understanding the mechanisms behind tumour plasticity hopefully brings us a little closer to outsmarting GBM.

Our new paper in @Nature_NPJ highlights transcriptomics of #Parkinson’s neurons in a dish (42 donours). Diff expression always shows something... but if it overlaps between methods (#iPSC, #iN, #PatchSeq, #10X, #bulk), gotta be real, right? 1/9 nature.com/articles/s41531-0…

Nobody warns about the hazards of reading at a young age. I’ll be mispronouncing words like “haphazard”, “melancholy”, and “hors d'oeuvres” for the rest of my life.

Warm-heartedness leads to a healthy mind. Peace of mind allows us to sleep soundly. I’m not talking about the benefits of the next life or of finding God, but of being a peaceful person with a calm mind and a warm heart here and now.

True compassion is not just an emotional response but a firm commitment founded on reason. Therefore, our compassion for others does not change even if they behave negatively. Our sense of responsibility gives rise to a wish to help others actively overcome their problems.

Material development and physical comfort alone don't relieve unhappiness, but if you’re relaxed and have peace of mind, whatever goes on around you won't upset you. It isn't the sophistication of the devices we own that brings us peace of mind, it's love and compassion.
