The thing about the truth is that it has a habit of getting out. Despite their best efforts, the LTN lobby lies are all being exposed - there was no sat-nav fuelled traffic explosion on side rds, LTNs do displace traffic & now we see they increase vehicle miles as well. Who knew?

Today's Times reveals total vehicle miles driven in the 10 inner London boroughs that put in LTNs or equivalent in 2020 rose by 11.4% on average last yr as traffic returned to more normal levels but in the 2 inner London boroughs that didn't put in LTNs the average was only 8.9%.

While stopped at traffic lights I had a great short conversation with a cyclist on the high road. I asked him why he wasn’t using the LTN … he said the same thing as I would of said …he wants to go from A to B the most direct route …Has no time to add extra miles onto commute. – at Tottenham, London

I love cycling. I cycle everyday. I appreciate cycle lanes and enjoy quieter cycle routes but I cannot and will not support LTN schemes that increase children's #airpollution exposure! Relocating traffic to already polluted community roads to make cycling a little nicer.. 🤢🤮

It was a trial/experiment, based on a theory that traffic displaced by LTNs onto residential & community roads would 'evaporate' after a few months. The LTN experiment failed. Traffic congestion & vehicle emissions increased. The impact to pubic health is frighteningly obvious.👇🏾

A real snapshot of Dulwich Village. These taken at 8am this morning as kids walk to school. The pollution and congestion manufactured by the councillors of DV. This is how they *designed* the LTNs. They think this is success! Only 2% wanted this. May is our chance for change.

Under the guise of responding to the covid pandemic, climate crisis, inactivity crisis and road danger crisis, the LCC & councils push traffic onto the most dangerous & polluted roads, increasing vehicle miles driven, traffic congestion, fuel consumption & vehicle emissions. 😱
