Iowa also has a chance to return a lot of really strong pieces next year. With an expanded playoff next year, lots of opportunity.
Again, one of those guys needs to be undisputed QB1. And you have to have the confidence that they are ready for that step.

Had Iowa just won today they’d probably be close to top 10 with more upsets happening today. Instead they will drop top 20-25th, as they should, and not have any games upcoming that would move them into top 15 until maybe a win against an opted-out roster shell bowl team.
Iowa gets one last year to a meaningless bowl game. No matter what they do the remainder of the season it’s just for a meaningless bowl game now. So tired of that being the peak for Iowa. 5 games remaining and to think it doesn’t even matter win or lose now is real buzz kill.
The games the rest of the way don’t matter anymore. Iowa has been eliminated from the college football playoffs. Season is over.
