Donald Trump and Recep Erdoğan used the NATO summit this past week to project an image of strength and unity between Ankara and Washington.
But how long will that last?
@elettrascrivo reports.

British foreign correspondents could be at risk of prosecution if they use sources within state-backed groups in countries such as Iran under national security legislation being rushed through parliament this week.
David Anderson, a former UK independent reviewer of terrorism legislation, has warned that unless the bill is amended it could accidentally pull journalists working in danger-zone countries into prosecutions for terrorism.

Drop Site MENA editor Sharif Abdel Kouddous told Al Jazeera’s Listening Post that the October agreement has helped the U.S. and Israel foster the false impression that a meaningful ceasefire exists in Gaza, when in reality “the scorched-earth bombing may have stopped or slowed, but the genocide continues and the killing of journalists continues.”
He warned that Israel has learned it can “bomb and shell and shoot and starve and displace Palestinians” without accountability, while the world increasingly looks away.

Courtney is really doing phenomenal, illuminating on the ground reporting in Lebanon

Absolute bombshell. Expert journalist Courtney Bonneau completely dismantles Donald Trump's fake narrative. While Trump claims to free Lebanon, she confirms Israeli army is systematically murdering civilians & journalists using American tax dollars. Tax money is financing crimes.

Filming and taking photos of attack sites has effectively been criminalized, and the regime has shut down internet access for ordinary people. That means most of the photos and videos you see of “civilians injured” or “pulled from rubble” are not coming from independent civilians, they are produced by regime-controlled channels, curated, approved, and then distributed to the outside world through the limited access the regime itself controls, largely for propaganda purposes.
That said, civilians are absolutely being harmed. Even if the numbers are much smaller than what’s being portrayed, every innocent life affected is a real and devastating tragedy, one ultimately caused by a regime that continues to pursue war and terrorism at the expense of its own people.

We keep hearing new reasons for war with Iran—none convincing. “Free the oppressed” sounds noble, but where does it end? We’ve been told for decades Iran is weeks from a nuke. War should be a last resort, not our first move. A war of choice is not my choice. Liberty must come from within, not by U.S. troops.

For decades, we’ve been hearing the same scare tactics about Iran, yet our intelligence agencies haven’t proved any imminent threat. Meanwhile, billions are wasted on endless wars. If liberty is to come to Iran, it will have to be won by Iranians themselves, not by American intervention.
Thanks for having me @edhenry.
BREAKING — 🇺🇸🇮🇷 U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal after leaving an intelligence briefing:
“In my 15 years in the Senate, I have never left a briefing this angry. We are heading down a path toward sending U.S. troops to Iran as ground forces.”

Though it is day, the sun cannot be seen in Tehran today because of all the smoke following the US and Israel bombing Tehran's oil refineries. People on the ground describe it as armageddon.
History will not forgive Reza Pahlavi, Masih Alinejad, Nazanin Boniadi, and all other "leaders" who tricked Iranians into thinking this war would set them free.
