A court in Iran has sentenced political prisoner and social media activist Amirhossein Mousavi to death on charges of "corruption on earth through online activities," his lawyer, Reza Shafakhah, said Wednesday on X.
Mousavi's case was heard in August by Branch 15 of Tehran's Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Abolghasem Salavati.
Mousavi has been detained since December 2024. Iranian state television broadcast what was described as his forced confession in October 2025, following months of solitary confinement.
Fourteen political prisoners had previously issued a statement warning that Mousavi was at risk of receiving a death sentence.

Majid Nikandish, a true soldier of Iran, was arrested and executed by the Islamic Republic after refusing to open fire on protesters who took to the streets of Mashhad during Iran's January National Uprising.
A photo of his final testament, written hours before his execution, was recently released. In it, Majid speaks of his love for his family and asks them to celebrate his life at his funeral. He emphasizes that only one question remains on his mind: "Why?"
This is the question every awakened conscience must ask today to amplify the voices of these innocent political prisoners: Why does the Islamic Republic execute the children of Iran on baseless and fabricated charges?
We will never forget Iran's fallen heroes. Justice will prevail!

چهار سال از روزی می‌گذرد که جلادان ضحاک، جان دختر ایران، مهسا امینی، را گرفتند. جمهوری اسلامی گمان می‌کرد می‌تواند خون مهسا را نیز مانند خون بسیاری دیگر پایمال کند، اما یک ایران برای او به پا خاست.
ضحاک، برای آنکه نشان دهد مهسا را به قتل نرسانده است، قلب جوانان دیگری را نیز نشانه گرفت، از نیکا و سارینا تا کیان و خدانور، از حمیدرضا و مجیدرضا تا صدها فرزند دیگر ایران.
چهار سال بعد، ملت ایران در مرحله‌ای دیگر از همان مبارزه ایستاده است. مسیری که از خیزش‌های پیشین گذشت، امروز به انقلاب شکوهمند شیر و خورشید رسیده است، جایی که مبارزات ملت ایران، با همه تجربه‌ها و هزینه‌هایی که پشت سر گذاشته، در یک هدف ملی به هم پیوند خورده است: بازپس‌گیری ایران از رژیم تبهکاری که نزدیک به نیم قرن است میهن‌مان را به گروگان گرفته است.

هر جان فداشده، مسئولیتی بر دوش ما گذاشت؛ و هر فراز و فرود، ملت ایران را برای گام بعدی آماده‌تر کرد. تا امروز که ایرانیان، یک‌صدا و زیر پرچم ملی خود، برای بازپس‌گیری ایران ایستاده‌اند.

Iranian state media said three men accused of involvement in unrest in Mashhad and an alleged Israel-linked plot were executed early morning Monday local time.
The report identified the men as Mehdi Rasouli and Mohammadreza Miri, who were described as “Mossad elements” involved in what authorities called a “coup” in January 2026, and Ebrahim Dolatabadi, described as a key figure in unrest in the Tabarsi area.
State media said Rasouli and Miri had a “direct role” in the killing of a member of Iran’s security forces during the events, while Dolatabadi was accused of leading groups involved in clashes that resulted in further deaths.
Rights groups say Iran has executed at least 25 political prisoners since the beginning of US-Israeli strikes on Feb. 28.

Look at what the regime in Iran is doing while a ceasefire is in place.
They don’t even hide it anymore.
Fucking machine guns are out in public, terrorists on standby, ready to shoot civilians and crush any uprising.
President Trump, we need you to remember your promises to the Iranian people. You told us to stay home, wait for the right moment, then hit the streets and finish the job. But right now it feels like the only thing that matters is the fucking Strait of Hormuz.
During this ceasefire — even before it — the regime has already started executing the protesters they arrested in January.
And right now they’re terrorizing civilians more than ever.
You made a promise, President Trump.
It’s still not too late.
Help the people of Iran.
Finish what you started.
Give them safer streets so they can come out and end this barbaric regime once and for all.
