As we lose biodiversity we lose much of the life and sounds of the countryside that would once have been familiar to everyone. Think about it - when was the last time you heard a grasshopper in your fields? #FarmlandBiodiversity

Not seen one before, a white eyed Drone in one of the colonies! Visible mutations most often seen in drones as they develop from unfertilised eggs & have 1 set of chromosomes. All recessive genes are expressed in the drones, so more likely to see it #BeekeepersHour @britishbee 🥸

A really important topic. Because our climate gives us lots of rain, we’re inclined to take H2O for granted. Our grandchildren will thank us if our generation start doing the right thing asap.
