Don’t know about you but I am not interested in having my economic energy siphoned away by some WW2 era systems

5/ I believe that Satoshi published the Bitcoin white paper on 10/31 as a hat tip to the ancient Gaelic festival of “Samhain” which was also the date in which Martin Luther nailed his 95 Theses to a church door. Both represent an end of the old and the beginning of the new.

When Satoshi published the white paper:
World money supply - $40 trillion.
World debt - $170 trillion.
Bitcoin's supply - 21 million.
18 years later TODAY:
World money supply -$127 trillion.
World debt - $365 trillion.
Bitcoin's supply - 21 million.
They tripled the money.
They doubled the debt.
Satoshi didn't change a thing
because Bitcoin is MONEY.
Pretty cool Satoshi choose an Irish holiday Samhain to release the Bitcoin whitepaper - an ancient Gaelic seasonal festival to mark the end of the harvest and beginning of winter (for fiat)
Satoshi Nakamoto released the white paper 18 years ago today on Halloween.
You’ve probably read the 9 page version. But it was actually only 8.
His original PDF is dated October 3, the day the TARP program bailed out the banks.
Satoshi released an update 5 months later in March 2009.
In addition to correcting some grammar and spelling mistakes, he added a paragraph on transaction fees.
This pushed it into 9 pages.
By the way the original working title was “Electronic Cash Without a Trusted Third Party."
Many people forget this is a fundamental attribute of Bitcoin’s utility… not having to trust.
In fact, the word “trust” appears in the document 14 times.
Meanwhile the terms, 21 million, blockchain, mining, and cryptocurrency never appear.
Happy Birthday 🎁
Euros are designed to get weaker
Bitcoin is designed to get stronger
Zoom out and stack harder while you still can
We are still in phase 1 of abundance
Phase 2 scarcity where there is more demand than supply has not started yet

🚨 PSA for anyone running a Linux server, node, or relay
CVE-2026-98432 is a critical Linux kernel bug (CVSS 9.8). Someone on the internet can send crafted TCP packets and take over your machine. No login needed.
Ubuntu and Red Hat haven't shipped a fixed kernel yet. Debian, SUSE, Oracle and Amazon have.
What to do today:
1. Check your kernel: uname -r
Fixed versions: 6.1.190+, 6.6.159+, 6.12.113+, 6.18.56+, 7.2.10+ or 7.3+. Below that, you're exposed.
2. If your distro has a fix, update and reboot.
3. If not, block the attack. It needs TCP packets with "IP options," which normal traffic never uses. One nftables rule drops them. Log what gets dropped so you can see if someone's probing you.
4. Turn off MPTCP unless you need it:
sysctl -w net.mptcp.enabled=0
Programs built with Go 1.24+ use MPTCP automatically, and that's how the known exploit gets in.
5. Make it survive a reboot, and check it still works after one.
If you run a Bitcoin node, a Lightning node or a Nostr relay, your machine is on the internet by design. Do this today.
Self-hosting is freedom. Patching is part of the job. 🛡️
If you want 🏡 use 🧠 and do long term saving in #bitcoin
All you need are primary school maths and a willingness to accept that everything you have been told about money has changed

You're right 🎯🎯
Every time you type your password into your bank, Apple, or Google, you see that little lock icon in your browser. 🔒
That lock is the only reason you know you are talking to the real company, and not an imposter stealing your money.
And today, that entire system almost collapsed because of an unbelievable corporate blunder.
Here is what just happened in plain English:
To keep the web safe, the internet relies on a handful of official digital "passport agencies" called Certificate Authorities. Their entire job is to stamp websites as genuine.
To forge one of their stamps, a hacker would normally have to guess a secret master code that is 116 digits long. It would take a supercomputer billions of years to crack.
Today, one of the biggest official authorities on the planet pushed live master codes that were literally:
4, 56, 66, 115.
You read that right. A toddler guessing random numbers could have unlocked the entire internet's master vault.
With those numbers, anyone could create a fake website for your bank or government, and your computer or phone would tell you: "Yup, this is 100% official and safe."
The worst part?
The tech world spent 30 years telling us that putting our trust in centralized corporate gatekeepers was safe.
Yet the entire world's security was brought to its knees because one company pushed test homework into production and forgot to check the locks.
You cannot patch human incompetence across billions of devices. You have to remove the middlemen entirely.
Real digital security cannot depend on corporate trust cartels. It has to be governed by unbreakable mathematics.
See the signal. ♾️
Replying to @ICPapprentice
would love to see a toddler on a calculator cracking this for real. a normie like me doesnt even understand much of these words.

J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s base case projects Bitcoin to outperform U.S. stocks, bonds and gold over the next decade. Wall Street is doing the math.
Not many people realise that Bitcoin is as significant as a new religion, a new constitution, and a new way to materialise, quantify, and rationalise the world
Most people can’t see it yet

Irish politicians on a random Tuesday:
“Irish people aren’t real and this country belongs to everyone. And if Irish people were a thing, they’re mongrels.”
Agree 100%
It is insane that home values go up over time.
The home should be most expensive when it is initially built. At that point, the structure is new and unused.
As the home experiences wear and tear, the home becomes used and should be worth less money over time.
A used home should cost less than a new home.
But that is not what happens.
Home prices continue to grow to the sky because the debasement of the dollar distorts the market, which enriches the home owners at the expense of the home buyer.
This is a silent wealth transfer that requires the home buyer to pay more for a less valuable product.
Just insane.
