🇱🇻 Lukashenko tells Latvia to stop fooling around
Following the Minsk International Conference on Eurasian Security on November 3, the Belarusian dictator had a rather curious exchange with a former Latvian MP.
Lukashenko insisted that Belarus was not at war with its neighbor and acknowledged that Latvia could, of course, manage without Belarus.
“But we can't manage without you. God bless you,” replied the man whom Belarusian propagandists describe as a representative of Latvia.
What do you make of this, @Latvian_MFA ?
Blaa, kā Mamikins ir kritis. Riktīgs ūdenszellis.

It’s now officially confirmed.
Tonight, russia struck Kyiv’s historic centre with an Iskander ballistic missile carrying a cluster warhead.
58 submunitions explode in mid-air, designed to inflict maximum casualties across a 400 × 400 metre area.
“This strike had no military purpose. The goal was to destroy part of the old city and injure as many people as possible,” said a Ukrainian presidential adviser.
No military objective. Just terror.
A horrific Russian strike in the Kharkiv region. A “shahed” struck people directly – in a park near an ordinary café. Pure atrocity. Six people were killed, including children. A little girl was killed in a stroller – her name was Angelina, she was just over a year old, born in August 2025… Her mother’s name was Inna. She died in the hospital… Another girl who was killed was 11 years old. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Another 14 people were injured, including six more children.
I am grateful to everyone who supports Ukraine under these circumstances and helps us shoot down “shaheds,” shoot down missiles, and stop Russian assaults. These are horrific photos, but behind them are shattered lives and the truth about this war. Lives must be protected. Ukraine needs air defense. You can't think about making money with Russia as long as it continues its asinine war. We ask that sanctions on Russia stay in place as long as the killings continue. We ask America to be strong, and we ask it to apply the Lindsey Graham law. We ask Europe to continue its support. We ask that everything possible be done to bring peace and guarantee security. Ukraine wants peace. It is Russia that has insisted on continuing the killing all this time. The world has enough strength to stop the war. That strength must finally be used – against the murderers.
Mēsls.
Hegseth on Afghanistan:
I was a captain in Afghanistan, and we would go to the headquarters in Kabul, and there would be 50 flags at the headquarters.
It was a beautiful thing to see 50 different countries contributing to the NATO alliance and the ISAF mission there.
Except there were like maybe five that contributed. It was actually closer to one or two that, by the end, were actually involved in kinetic operations.
In fact, the ISAF patch, we would joke that it meant "I Saw Americans Fighting."
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Over 1100 non-American soldiers from 31 US-allied countries were killed fighting in Afghanistan, approximately 1/3 of the total combat deaths.

Guys, you are not supposed to make it this obvious.
Clare Daly previously campaigned in support of Algirdas Paleckis, convicted by Lithuania of spying for Russia.
And she campaigned alongside Latvian MEP Tatjana Ždanoka, who has also faced allegations of working with Russian intelligence.
Ždanoka and Ragozin were the two key people in Latvia promoting the lie that Ukraine was using Baltic airspace to attack Russia.
Even Ragozin’s former colleagues have extensively reported on why that was an obviously absurd Russian disinformation campaign.
And still not a single person defending Ragozin has offered an explanation about why he kept repeating that lie.
Kad normatīvisms pāri rezultātam. Šāda domāsana ir daudzu mūsubproblēmu pamatā.

Yes. US officials and reports since March 2026 confirm Russia has shared satellite imagery and location data on US bases, warships, and aircraft to aid Iranian targeting in the Middle East. Iranian strikes on those targets have killed US troops; the official toll linked to the conflict stands at 21 as of mid-October.
I am sorry for her.

My journalist friends are collecting signatures under an appeal against my expulsion from Latvia addressed to UN special rapporteurs on human rights. I'd be grateful if you care to sign and/or share, no matter whether you share my views or not - the case is about our common and core freedoms. Here is the doc:

I am being evicted from my home and from the country where lived for the last 12 years, the land of my ethnic Latvian ancestors. Politicians who are doing it have deliberately selected an extrajudicial form of punishment because, as they openly state, "Latvia would lose this case in court". In short, I believe we are dealing with political persecution here.
This is a revenge for my work - news analysis, investigations (one specific investigation), for the criticism of politicians on this platform and for jokes that drive them insane.
What it all reminds most of is Putin's Russia. It illustrates Europe's slow drift towards the political regime that is so familiar to all of us who fled that country.
I am being accused of spreading "Kremlin narratives", but punishing journalist for their uncomfortable opinions so severely is Kremlin's narrative and Kremlin's playbook in infowarrior parlance. It is new and welcome material for Kremlin propaganda which strives to paint Baltic countries in these very colours, as tyrannies not democracies.

Mieru, tikai mieru
