Probably the worst defensive game of the season…but Sorokin has not been good. Goes down prematurely…makes himself small…doesn’t cover the posts and is not square to the shooter.
My grandmother could have saved that one!
#isles
#Isles swarm Oettinger but can't score. #TexasHockey comes down on a 2-on-1 and Stanley plays it perfectly. Sorokin doesn't. Seguin roofs one.
1-0 with 8:29 to go in the first.
Problem is he never fucking uses it. He might as well have the softest shot in the NHL! #isles
Ryan Pulock has the 3rd hardest shot in the NHL this season
99.51 mph. Only Makar and Thompson have hit harder
Tonight: Kings at Islanders, 7:30 PM ET
Who is getting in front of that shot?

Darche can’t keep his mouth shut! If there’s a difference of opinion between the org and Barzal…he shouldn’t be publicly sending out mixed signals. Figure it out behind closed doors…and STFU!
#isles
#Isles GM Mathieu Darche on Barzal:
“The doctors would be comfortable for him to ramp up whenever he’s ready. We’re trying to work together on this, but of course he has a big say. It’s his body. He knows how he feels.”

This is bad…please change it back!
#isles
This is comical…because most of the NHL teams have scouts at the game…which means there is no way in hell the #isles have a shot to make a deal.
Both Maccelli and Ritchie will return before Barzal. #isles
#Isles fans be like
"Time to tell us what's going on with Barzal"
Who the hell are you besides fans to demand they tell you and what are you gonna do about it ? Send a magical healing potion or direct Darche in what he should do like he needs "fans" to tell him cause they think they know better ?
When he's ready to play, he'll play. The fact that fans think they deserve to know everything, especially when it comes to a player's health is ridiculous.
Barzal is done…#isles
The #Isles are approaching a major decision on Victor Eklund.
But there's more to consider than burning the first year of his entry-level contract.
Why his role, Barzal's return & Ritchie's injury complicate things.

Like I’ve always said…it’s about ownership! If the ownership’s goal is not to win the cup…they will never even get close to smelling one! Thats the reality! #isles
The #Isles can't afford to let the Matthew Schaefer era play out the same way the Mathew Barzal era has and the way the John Tavares era did.
Why the organization's biggest issue goes beyond coaching & what needs to change.

We have the same issues…with or without Barzal. Lack of top 6 talent…not to mention that 2 of our top 4 dmen 6 and 3 don’t play like it. #isles
How many times have we heard this before? This is just another season with pretty much the same cast of characters that never seem to find their game. No matter who is coaching the #isles…it’s the same result!
The #Isles have a few players who just have to find their game.
No one should be giving up on anyone seven games into a season, regardless of how many years they've been in the league, but it's something to keep a very close eye on as we wait to see who comes out for Barzal.
Why the FU__…is Schenn in the damn shoot out!!!!
#isles
Why in the hell is Schenn and Heineken out on a 3 on 3! #isles
