So, somebody in Namibia just woke up one day and decided that being called a 'teacher' was too boring, and that 'educator' sounded much more sophisticated? I love development!

Theatrics
Was it not he who promised electric trains during his interview for the CEO position? Trains require massive investment in infrastructure, whereas buses make use of infrastructure that already exists (the roads).
Was the proposed train model going to be profitable?
Is it high staff turnover or genuine growth? Old Mutual is always mass recruiting....same as Bank of Namibia, NamPort and City of Windhoek.

There is this perception that people in the public sector are incompetent or unskilled. Yet, the private sector continues to appoint retired public sector officials to leadership positions in their companies. Who is fooling whom?
I said we need the President back in the country as soon as possible. This FMD situation could easily escalate into something serious if not handled carefully. Namibia has no shortage of opportunists.
Please tell all those politicians who are claiming this to...."Hide nothing from the masses of our people. Tell no lies. Expose lies whenever they are told. Mask no difficulties, mistakes, failures. Claiming no easy victories."
This entire conversation started in 2023 with a motion presented by @pdm_namibia’s Winnie Moongo.

Namibia’s growing obsession with status, recognition and the art of “othering”

The realistic options remain Kudu gas, followed by Baynes hydro, supported by existing solar and wind projects with battery storage. No textbook theories, no emotions. Energy/system cost, generation capacity requirements and capital expenditure analysis support these technologies
I will say this again...if we’re talking about baseload, reducing imports, reducing the cost of supply and meeting our renewable tarpgets, hydrogen does not feature in the electricity generation plan, at least not in the next 30 years. We'd rather pursue nuclear than hydrogen.
I see there’s a misconception about the 'Green Hydrogen' dream. Hydrogen is an energy carrier, not a primary energy source or baseload. You need electricity to produce it. Green hydrogen will not solve our electricity generation or electricity supply challenges nandenande!
Hopefully, Namibian artists and event promoters take notes. People attended, had a great experience and came back with positive feedback. Too many of our local events charge premium prices for mediocre experiences. High prices, poor value and a shitty experience. Total rip-off!
I know it’s going to be hard to crown One Blood as the Artist of the Year because they’re a duo, but there’s no artist who has been more consistent in serving us bangers than One Blood during the period under review.
The cost of corruption in Namibia.
Veteran lawyer Dirk Conradie has been sentenced to pay a fine of N$200 000 or serve a five-year prison term on two charges under the Anti-Corruption Act on which he was found guilty in February. namibian.com.na/lawyer-conra…
This is where you learn that education is important, but experience is importanter. The opposition lost to SWAPO’s experience.
APPROVED: Gerson Sindano has been approved and appointed as the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) by the National Assembly this afternoon.
A quorum of 49 members was present, and all 49 members voted in favour of his appointment.
The vote took place after all opposition members walked out of the National Assembly, except the UDF.

When asking for assistance with your business, ask for investment, not gifts or donations. We need to move away from the “support my business” begging mentality. Focus on selling the solutions your business is built to provide. Nobody owes you anything just for having a business.
