Honestly this would bang on LinkedIn but most of the people commenting would think it was serious
My experience partying all night at Berghain in Berlin made me think of how we're lacking this experience in the San Francisco tech scene. We can literally become the coolest, most tasteful social scene on Earth if we had our version of Berghain, but better. So let's build it. The best aspect of Berhain is how they select who gets in. The club has a vibe and atmosphere, and if you aren't wearing the right clothes or have the right demeanor, you don't get in. That's how you cultivate a tasteful crowd. We can improve on this by only letting in high agency, talented operators in the tech scene who can still pull off dope outfits, so no geeks. SF is in dire need of late night venues, and Berghain goes until 8am. That's a little too crazy for high net worth operators who are changing the world so we could do something like 2am. Berghain also is kinda dark and in a weird building so we'd put the club in a SoMa corporate office that we convert to speakeasy or barcade vibe. Maybe add a quiet area for people to bring their laptops and work? I honestly feel like we're improving on the Berghain form here, especially by swapping out the crowd of weird partiers in inappropriate clothes (or lack there of) with insanely cracked founders and engineers. I'm super stoked about this idea, SF tech could really run the dopest parties on the planet.

She got the ASMR lip smacking down though
yikes -- Lisa Demuth struggled just to get through her opening statement during her debate with Amy Klobuchar, losing her train of thought and taking looooooooong pauses while she tried to figure out what she was saying

If Jolly wins thanks to Nixon turning out low-propensity young, Latino and Black voters, then even if she loses her own race, she'll have saved her state and accomplished something historic.
On August 18, when given the choice between Angie Nixon and Alex Vindman, a stiff, poll-tested moderate of the kind Democrats have been foisting upon Floridians for years, voters chose Nixon by a decisive 12-point margin. The result shocked national commentators. It was a testament to how poorly Vindman understood Florida — “He says he’s lived here for three years,” Nixon says, “but I had never heard of him” — that he failed to see what was obvious on the ground: Democratic voters were fed up with the status quo. Nixon, a dynamic 42-year-old Black single mother turned union organizer, has premised her Senate campaign on the idea that GOP rule in Florida has been a disaster. The Democrats’ go-to response over the past 30 years has largely been to run the most anodyne candidates they can find, only to watch the state become redder. Nixon has taken the opposite approach, seizing on a polarizing agenda of bigger government and universal programs that pundits long assumed would exclusively resonate in deep-blue states like New York. What makes Nixon different, according to people who know her, is that her public brawling is matched by her shrewdness and stamina as an organizer. “Angie won the Democratic primary because she has been knocking on doors, talking to people, alongside people, for decades,” says educator and writer Phillip Agnew. She is unafraid to talk to anyone. The public line is that she’s running to win this election, even if the polls say that result is unlikely. But no matter the outcome, she is providing a template for the kind of durable grassroots operation Democrats have neglected when running in Florida. we really are in hell right now
What Vivek Ramaswamy has done is absolutely beyond despicable and evil. It is the most vile thing I have ever seen in politics. Using Amy Acton's birth mother who stayed married to Amy's rapist and was so abusive she lost custody of her kids, for political gain is despicable.
