K. Starmer: “We should treat the 2017 manifesto as our foundational document, the radicalism and the hope that that inspired across the country was real." 11th January 2020

Starmer emphasises that the policy review will not be based on the last manifesto. "You don’t go through a review like this by picking up the last document." He says Anneliese Dodds has already started work on it and he hopes Progressive Britain will feed into it.

Chief constable of Avon and Somerset police says there were in fact no broken bones or punctured lungs at the Bristol protest as previously claimed. Sounds like quite a lot of people owe @NadiaWhittomeMP an apology for being wisely sceptical of early unconfirmed reports

Glad to hear that police officers in Bristol did not suffer broken bones or a punctured lung - and given this was widely reported to underline the violent nature of the protests, it's important that these details are publicised.

An awful lot of what was holding the our non-constitution together was politicians feeling ashamed when caught in a flagrant lie or misuse of power.
But, as it turns out, you can actually get out of almost any scandal by just not feeling at all bad about being a total bastard.

People need to understand that while they're putting in effort to discuss the differences between 'peaceful' protests and 'violent' protests, the police are attacking people either way because to them, there literally isn't a difference
