Demis Hassabis says today’s AI will look like NOTHING compared to what’s coming in just 1–2 years.
And this is coming from the guy running Google DeepMind.
We’re arguing over which chatbot is better while the people building the frontier models are already worried about what comes next.
The next few years are going to be absolutely insane.

Some people would love to have your bad days.
Please be grateful for what you have now, and help others in need.

The Hormuz crisis isn't just an energy problem. So far, markets don't seem to care.
But soon they will.
Petrochemicals are at the core of our entire production chain. Without them, modern life as we know it is impossible.
- Petrochemicals -> fertilizer -> food production
- Petrochemicals -> sulfur -> mining (copper, uranium, nickel)
- Petrochemicals -> plastics -> cars, electronics
- Petrochemicals -> drugs, rubber, textiles
- Gas -> power generation
- Diesel -> transportation
It's a supply shock hitting food, industry, transportation and power at the same time.
Our world doesn't function without Hormuz supplies.
And you can't print your way out of a supply crisis.... Paper is worthless when the physical goods aren't there.
