So let me get this straight. Dude gets his hands on an unreleased #GTAVI build and starts leaking it under the banner of consumer rights and fighting corporate greed. Then launches a meme coin and pulls hundreds of thousands of dollars in profit from the ecosystem. Then introduces micro-transactions by telling everyone the coin needs to hit a $30M market cap if they want the full build released. When that doesn’t happen, he paywalls his supporters by charging $40 per download for the alleged build. Turns out the fight against “corporate greed” came with the same monetization strategy. Incredible. 😂
Cyberleek announces the end of GTA 6 leaks after posting the 20th clip, but says the dead man’s switch is active and story spoilers including the ending will be published if Take-Two catches him: “CL has the ending. It was considered. It would punish Take-Two greatly - but ruin the experience for the gamers, who did nothing wrong. Take-Two would show CL no mercy - why should CL show any to them? Still: Take-Two was punished enough. The ending stays unpublished. Proof: the latest leek - clips from the final missions, out of context, revealing nothing. The dead man's switch is active - story spoilers only. Left alone, it never fires. Whoever removes CL chooses it. The 30M was not reached, so no build. Uploading 200+ GB anonymously is a serious risk - worth it only if the milestone funded the secret project. Terms honored as written. Sad, the negativity - and how few believe anything real is behind this. CL was transparent about the token from day one: a donation, never an investment. It changed nothing - influencers decided the story before the facts arrived. The Edict stands. The leeks stop here. For now.”

One of the best parts of #cfb27 Dynasty is getting attached to players who probably shouldn’t even be starting. 😂 My 74 OVR senior QB who’s been with me since Year 1 at a 0 star school. I’ve watched him develop, made excuses for his mistakes. In the wings is my 3 star freshman coming off his redshirt year and is looking good. On paper, sure it’s an easy decision. But man, that senior is MY guy.

A lot of #cfb27 players say they want realism, but expect ratings to dictate what happens on the field. 👍

I think we’ve accidentally turned “realistic” into “make every game hard.” College football doesn’t work like that. Good teams beat the brakes off bad teams all the time. Then every once in a while some 20-point underdog ruins somebody’s season. If I win 48-10 and immediately start adjusting sliders because the game was “too easy,” I might be fixing something that wasn’t broken. I want the whole season to feel believable. I don’t need 12 manufactured nail-biters. 🤙

The #cfb27 “trash” trap is when players use real life as a courtroom exhibit against every video game result they don’t like.

Gaming discourse feels so exhausting right now because nobody waits for anything to actually happen anymore. A new feature gets announced and we’re already arguing about the microtransaction it might have in 2029. A bad decision becomes the evidence for every bad decision we’ve already decided is coming next. We’ve brought the conclusion to the argument without needing to hear facts. There’s plenty of real shit to criticize. But lately we’re focused on inventing tomorrows shit 🤦‍♂️

One of the strangest things about modern gaming, and it doesn’t matter which game, is how aggressively we try to remove the unknown. I’m seeing guides before launch, metas after just 48 hours of launch, datamines for hacks and fast tracks, subjective tier lists… Then the bitching and moaning “There’s nothing to do.” And we never stop to consider that maybe discovery is what creates the experience.

Matt Brown having to make a post that content creators and dudes parading around as a source of game news have grossly skewed his report is insanity.
This is a very cynical and out of context reading of the actual story. The full story I wrote today tells the exact opposite.

No I get it. Just remember that when (not if) EA stops making CFB games within the next 5 years because no one is going to want to pay extra for micro transactions for stuff that should be free with the base game, you reference me for calling it out early. 😁 Have a good one.👋

The article: Some employees are concerned rising costs could threaten the franchise several years from now. Bro: “EA is cancelling College Football because we refused their microtransactions.” This is the army @bordeauxyt built? A community planning the funeral before anyone died 💀…
So basically EA is going to can the entire College Football series because they aren’t making more money of monetizing stuff that shouldn’t be monetized in the game. Got it. 👍 Thank goodness CFB27 is on PC so it can be modded for years to come once it’s gone.
