I hate teaching at @Columbia. You finally sneak an achievement into the faculty news roundup and the guy next to you in the alphabet wins the Nobel.

Song of the Yue Boatman, the only Yue-language song preserved to this day. Chinese historical records have preserved its pronunciation and translation. This is the Chinese version. 6th century BC.
this bone is extemely amusing because when it mentions the king's chariot was overturned, they write the glyph for 'chariot' upside down

This oracle bone preserves China's earliest known "chariot accident scene"? During the reign of King Wu Ding, Ziyang suffered a carriage crash while joining the royal hunt. The oracle bone records this traffic #accident from over 3,000 years ago.

This is hilarious: a street interviewer in Hong Kong, who asks wealthy people how they made their money, accidentally interviewed one of Hong Kong's most notorious gangsters - Guo Yonghong (郭永鸿), former leader of Wo Shing Wo (和胜和), one of Hong Kong's largest triad organizations.
The funny part is that he obviously has no idea who he is and keeps asking him questions like "what industry are you in?" and "how old were you when you made your first million?" - questions Guo obviously don't want answered on camera 😂
