You don’t get to claim fear on my behalf.
Stop telling me I’m a victim.

Stop telling me someone is targeting me because of my skin color.
That narrative does not speak for me.

He has never taken opportunity from me.

Little Wiehan Botes was 5 months old, when he was strangled in the one place he should have been safe.
On 23 May 2012, in Delmas, Mpumalanga, 5-month-old Wiehan Botes was dropped off at his day mother, Margrietha de Goede's home for care, just like any other day.
His parents, Rita and Wiets Botes, had waited 8 long years to have a child. Wiehan was their miracle baby.
That afternoon, when his mother couldn't reach the day mother and raised the alarm with the neighbourhood watch, the horrific discovery was made; both Wiehan and 66-year-old Margrietha de Goede had been brutally strangled by 3 Black men.
Wiehan's tiny body was hidden under a bed. Another 18-month-old baby in her care was found crying but unharmed.
This wasn't on a farm, and because of that, urban attacks get very little attention. There are no White crosses for them.
No child should ever die like this. No parent should have to bury their miracle baby. This is why White couples in South Africa aren't having babies.
Oh, and they forgot to rob.
