It’s time to rethink what farms can be. Farms can be neighborhood focused. They can be hyperlocal. They can fit on your block. It's time to reconnect people with food. And we're providing the playbook for free @planproformus and @Area2Farms

We need to rethink road design. You should not be able to flip your car on a three lane road. The speed limit here is 30!

Saunders’ idea to bring back streetcar suburbs resonates with my idea on a new urban vision: neighborhoods that can act as Village Centers to compete with prime suburbia. But I take it one step further — it’s not just enough for the built form to attract folks, you need schools/amenities.
Pete Saunders: The New Urban Vision We Need - A development form from our past may be the best example of what should happen next in America’s metropolitan areas. petesaunders.substack.com/p/…

The inaugural Downtown Fall Fest by @IndyDT @bigcar and @INCulturalTrail is a banger. Great activation of downtown’s front yard

this stadium absolutely rips
Here is a first look at the official renderings of the new Royals stadium coming to downtown KC in 2030 released today. This is going to be unreal for KC. Could not be more proud to be a Kansas Citian as we continue to challenge the status quo across the region.

I think going to a city and thinking “hell I could live here” is maybe the most important economic draw in today’s WFH urban landscape.
idk ..Irvington works. besides I get as a pundit why you might care about this (really no shade--thinking about tourism is fine) but I am not that interested in selling my neighborhood to out of town tourists so much as having a nice place to live.

Indianapolis builds at about half the pace of Nashville or Raleigh even with home prices doubling in last 5 years

“By successfully combining enforcement and social services, Denver demonstrates that cities don’t need to choose between those binaries. They should do both.” Sadly, the left doesn’t want to hear ‘enforcement’ and the right doesn’t want to hear ‘social services’. nytimes.com/2026/10/13/opini… via @NYTOpinion

“Progressive cities have tried to get around the dilemma by flooding the streets with social services, hoping that offers of help would get people on the streets to pack up. The reality, as cities have painfully learned, is that people often need a stronger push to abandon their tents.”

“Many of the sick and addicted are resistant to treatment, and getting them to accept help can require a kind of coercion and policing of low-level crimes that many progressives are uncomfortable with”

Indy went ahead and pedestrianized a portion of downtown between its NBA arena and convention center. Looks great, well done by the city.
