STRONG TORNADOES are possible tomorrow evening across Kansas and Oklahoma... Wichita and Oklahoma City are both inside the area where an EF2 or stronger tornado can’t be ruled out, and the threat could continue after dark.

A powerful storm will fire supercells across Oklahoma and Kansas tomorrow, bringing the threat of damaging winds and a few tornadoes... Storms will develop along the dryline late Monday afternoon from the Texas Panhandle into western Oklahoma and southwest Kansas. Any supercells that form there could produce a few tornadoes, along with hail and damaging winds. The tornado threat peaks Monday evening near the Kansas–Oklahoma border, where a developing low will crank up the winds near the ground, and a few strong tornadoes are possible into the early overnight hours. Storms will then merge into a line and push into eastern Kansas and Missouri overnight with damaging winds and brief tornadoes.

Damaging winds and maybe a tornado or two are possible Monday evening from western Oklahoma into southeast Kansas and North Texas, including Oklahoma City, Tulsa and Wichita... A strong storm system moving into the Plains will set off storms along a dryline in western Oklahoma around 6 PM. They’ll spread east across Oklahoma, eastern Kansas and North Texas through the evening. Thick clouds are expected to keep the day largely storm-free, but once storms develop, some could rotate due to some wind shear being present in the low-levels. The primary concern is damaging winds, with the highest tornado risk occurring between 6 PM and midnight.
