Meyer lemon chitarra with caviar is a fun, if rich, pairing, especially with the addition of Italian bubbles (Berlucchu '61 Extra Brut🤌). The witch theme even extends to pasta shapes with an excellent pesto coating homemade torchietti. Can't go wrong ending with a cannoli trio.
The kitchen at bewitching new Italian restaurant Ellizabetta is casting spells on vegetables - mushroom milanese and vegan tagliatelle with ragu had me fooled. Lots of delicious food here (and plenty of actual meat) with Italian wine deep cuts by owner/sommelier Elli Benchimol.

Had a fun snacky lunch at Apéro, a cozy wine bar and restaurant in a 1910 townhome that features champagne and caviar (discounted during Tues-Thurs Caviar Hour). The food is more serious than you might expect, with lots of thoughtful options including vegetarian onion soup.
The second day of March Madness brought the same level of thrills and excitement seen on the first day. Many college basketball fans took the day off or left work early to watch Friday’s slate of games at D.C.-area bars and restaurants.
