I, too, had a chance to invest early in Uber and passed. I remember it well, just like it was earlier today.
I took a $13 cab instead of a hypothetically more expensive Uber. I scheduled the taxi online and the driver was waiting when I came outside. He drove to the airport without a smartphone on his dashboard. He took credit. Disruption.
