John Harbaugh shares what servant leadership really looks like. "Everybody wants to be out in front and make a difference that way. But not everybody understands what leadership is." "Leadership is serving other people. Helping other people accomplish what they want to accomplish. Making a difference in their lives." Then he broke down what that actually looks like: "Sometimes it's just listening." "Sometimes it's just being there for somebody when they're having a tough day." "Sometimes it's just asking them how they're doing." The core of servant leadership is wanting to see others at their best. Sometimes it just means being consistent. You don't need a title to lead - you just need to care enough to show up for others. "To make a difference in somebody's lives, you gotta get outside yourself a little bit." "And it's not a hard thing to do to make a difference in somebody's lives." Great leaders believe they serve the team. • They care. • They develop others. • They believe in others.
