Apparently Whitt addressed this in the presser that the QB and RB went the wrong way.
I feel better now.
Yes, Carr makes a poor decision on the speed option.
But riddle me this Beckman:
Why, on speed option to the left, is the left tackle and rHiNo taking INSIDE LEVERAGE on the DE?
The principal of option is to force 1 defender to choose between 2 ball carriers. These blocks light the play on fire from the snap.
I’m sure by now, everybody has seen the tweet below.
What more (or less, to be accurate) does a guy have to do to get play calling duties taken away. That’s a preponderance of evidence that this offense scheme is an unmitigated failure.
I don’t care who they make the play caller - make it a collaborative effort. It cannot be worse than what we’ve seen.

Wow.
3rd down.
The pre-snap read tells *ME* that Marsh is the guy more likely to be open. His defender is further away from the LOS than Buchanan’s guy, which gives more space to work.
I stress *ME* because I’m sitting on the couch watching tv and not an freshman QB playing the defending champs.
