After a whole day of running around, I finally have some quiet time. Preparing for all the nerdy digital identity discussions I will have in the coming weeks, reading the second draft of @NISTcyber SP 800-63-4 is a must. I look forward to being part of @idpro_org book club. 🤓👩🏻🏫👓 #DigitalID #DigitalIdentity

Interview hack.
When they ask "What is your biggest weakness?"
Say, "Interviewing."
Now they can't hold a poor interview against you and have to hire.
You're welcome

Interviewed Vinko Bogataj (agony of defeat guy) on a WWOS ski flying show from Planica, Slovenia in the 90’s. He got in a fender bender on the way. His first line..”every time I’m on ABC I crash.” – at Los Angeles, CA

A little experiment in these hot temps today. We put a clock/thermometer in a parked vehicle to see how fast the temperature rose.
It went from 80° to over 120° in just over ten minutes parked in the sun. Always make sure to check the back seat.

Update: We can now confirm the funds have been returned (minus a small amount lost to fees).

We’ll not disclose this research company because they don’t deserve recognition for their actions. We are treating this as a criminal case and are coordinating with law enforcement agencies accordingly. We’re thankful this issue was reported, but that’s where that thought ends.

Dear freelancer,
It’s not your responsibility to assume the chaos of your clients.
Lay out your process.
Advocate for yourself.
Advocate for the project.
And stick with it.

I don’t know who needs to hear this but recruiters aren’t the ones who decided we can’t give constructive interview feedback.

Just got my IPhone battery replaced.
$89
Lot cheaper than a new IPhone.
Should be good for another 3 years.
Why don’t more people do this?

If your pricing page doesn't actually have pricing, can we just... call it something else? Please?

I was all about renaming Azure AD to Entra ID, but this...I kinda hope "on-premises Microsoft Entra ID" is either a mistake or a joke! 😂🔥 @brdpoker

Finally an article that points out the White Collar labor market is struggling despite what the general numbers say.
It’s no surprise there was a pullback from the Covid Zirp era. This is the first long stretch of a down market in tech hiring in over a decade.
While the market is slowly improving (from where I sit), I don’t think it gets better for everyone involved until interest rates get cut.

It’s day 193, and over 100 families are still waiting for their loved ones. My colleagues and I gathered tonight to call for the return of all hostages who remain in Gaza. #BringThemHomeNow

I couldn’t think of a better way to spend 8 hours other than my cubicle with fluorescent lighting and no sense of time.

“How do I stand out?”
The answer is deceptively simple.
What stands out? Something DIFFERENT than everything else.
But people are afraid of trying different things. We tend to just look at “what’s working” and copy that.
This is the polar opposite of standing out. This is blending in and creating derivative work.
Being truly different may fail. A lot of times, it does!
But being different is the path to breakout success. Every style or format that “works” started out feeling “different.”
The winners are those who experiment and innovate.
