My first-author paper is now live @JExpMed! We found that the Alzheimer's disease risk factor CASS4 is a critical regulator of amyloid beta plaque compaction, microglial mobilization to damage, and focal adhesion signaling.

TLDR: a genetically-defined group of osteosarcoma is sensitive to the EP300 PROTAC JQAD1, due to a balance between degradation and resynthesis by the ribosome. Read on for deets...

New research published in @JExpMed from @DanaFarber’s @JunQiLab and collaborators reveals that AKT inhibitors synergize with EP300 degraders to suppress osteosarcoma growth in vitro and in vivo. These agents positively combine across cancer cells in a manner dependent on control of protein synthesis.

Here we show that α-synuclein, a protein involved in Parkinson’s disease, triggers inflammation at CNS borders and impairs CNS clearance.

Excited to share our work in @JExpMed led by @t_stevenson95. We show that aggregated α-synuclein at CNS borders drives inflammation and impairs lymphatic function, positioning meningeal immunity as a driver of clearance deficits in Parkinsons disease.

Excited to share new research from PICI Center Director @wolchokj, PICI researchers Taha Merghoub, Mohamad Hamieh, and other researchers from @WeillCornell Medicine, where they highlight a promising new approach to treating bladder cancer.
Published in the @JExpMed, the study identifies MUC16 as a promising target for CAR T cell therapy and demonstrates that delivering CAR T cells directly into the bladder effectively controls tumors in preclinical models while minimizing systemic toxicity.
These findings could help pave the way for new bladder-sparing treatment options for patients with therapy-resistant disease.
